Please note that these FAQ’s are specifically about the London event.
What is Midnight2Midnight?
Midnight2Midnight is a 24-hour running event in support of 1% For The Planet, with its flagship event taking place in London. Midnight2Midnight is made up of 24 loops that range in distance from 5k to 10k. The event starts and ends at midnight, with loops leaving base camp every hour on the hour.
How do I get a ticket?
To purchase a ticket you need to download the MyCrew app - a free app that helps connect people with fitness events. For ease, it’s best done on mobile. Search ‘myCrew’ in the app store or click this link: https://get.mycrew.com/NzZiLsm7VW
Check out this step-by-step guide if you’re having any issues.
How far will I have to run?
The shortest loop will be around 5k, and many people just do a single loop. But if you want to push yourself a bit further, there is no upper limit to how many loops you run! With your ticket you can join any of the loops throughout the day and night. This means you don’t have to start running at midnight (although lots of people do!) and you don’t have to run your loops one after the other.
How fast will I have to run?
As loops leave every hour we aim to return within 60 minutes. We’ll have a few run leaders running each loop to help with pacing, which will range from around 4:30 min/km to 6:30 min/km. If you want to run significantly faster or slower than this, please come and chat to us before setting off and we’ll make sure you know the route in case you get separated from the group. Midnight2Midnight isn’t a race so a leisurely pace is encouraged!
When does the event start/finish?
Registration for the event starts at 10pm on Friday, August 16th. The first run sets off when the clock strikes midnight.
A 5-10k run will then set off every hour, on the hour until the clock strikes midnight again. Each run loops back to our basecamp so you can easily join for one or stay for many!
The last run sets off at 11pm on Saturday, August 17th. The afterparty will start after the last loop gets back, at around midnight.
For your first loop, please arrive 30 minutes early to allow time to register and pick up your free event t-shirt. For any subsequent loops we recommend arriving at least 15 minutes before it sets off so you can check in, use the bag drop (if required) and warm up.
Where is Midnight2Midnight 2019?
For the full 24 hours there’ll be a lively Basecamp at Here East, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, Lesney Ave, London E15 2GZ. This is where all runs will start and finish, and registration, bag drop and toilets are just round the corner in Loughborough University, London. Check back on the main home page for a map.
How do I get there?
BY DAY - Get to Stratford by Tube (Central/Jubilee), Overground, TFL Rail, DLR. From Straford get Bus 388 to Basecamp from 05:25 - 23:55 or walk (approx 25 ms).

Via Hackney Wick Overground
BY DAY - Get to Hackney Wick by Overground (between 06:00 and 23:59). Its then a short walk to Basecamp (approx 10 mins)
What are the routes like?
We’ve got over 10 different routes planned, ranging in length from 5k to 10k. With sunrise and sunset runs, road runs, trail runs and themed runs there’s plenty to choose from. And with one ticket you can run as many as you like, at any time of day or night! We’ll post the route schedule (with maps and Strava links) closer to the event.
What if I can’t finish a loop I have started?
We will have a few run leaders on each loop, so if for any reason you are unable to complete a loop, please try to locate one of them to let them know. Route maps will be available online, so we recommend you keep a phone with you as well as an Oyster card/contactless card/cash so you can use public transport to return to Basecamp if necessary. Unfortunately Midnight2Midnight is unable to take responsibility for any injuries sustained or participants getting lost, so make sure you are prepared when you set off!
Will food and drink be available?
Yes! We will have sponsors providing a limited supply of free drinks and snacks for the event. There will be also food trucks available and restaurants nearby where you can purchase food. Water will be available, but we request that you bring your own cup/water bottle to minimise waste!
What do I get for my entry fee?

Can I come to the afterparty?
Yes, all runners are invited (and encouraged) to join the afterparty! We will be celebrating with awesome music and drinks, with the celebrations kicking off after the last loop finishes, shortly after midnight. Many runners will run the final loop and go to straight to the afterparty afterwards! Not running in the event but still want to join for the party? No problem, we just ask that you make a donation at the door. Details of the after party venue will be posted closer to the event.
